“Should you have a business FB page?”

I thought it warranted a deeper/full response.

Yes, you should but with proper expectations…. (not totally necessary so keep reading to understand my perspective)

In general, having a business Facebook page is not going to hurt you in any way and is a great reference point for someone searching you out to do their due diligence on you…

Unless you are putting money behind every post, no one is going to see it unless they search for your business page intentionally. Facebook makes money by charging businesses to be seen. So, if you don’t pay they are just not going to show it to people at all!

You can set it up where you link your Instagram account to your business Facebook page so it automatically posts to both just so you have a presence but I would not cultivate it on its own unless you plan to put money behind it…

BUT I would use my personal account to represent and show off my business as well. It is where your best followers will see you more often. Still less than if you are paying but more than a business page.

It is your job to represent your brand, business, product, service in everything you do to an extent. I don’t mean constantly sell yourself or your product, but reference it. show your authority or knowledge or education you can bring to show everyone in your audience why they should be thinking of you when specific problems come up in their environment. You do not need a business page to accomplish this.

Use the 80/20 rule
– 80% of the time entertain and educate on your expertise and 20% drive some sort of call to action.

BEFORE AND AFTER PHOTOS DO NOTHING FOR YOUR BUSINESS UNLESS THERE IS A STORY RELATED TO THE PHOTO THAT TOUCHES ON A PROBLEM YOU SOLVED BY WHAT YOU ARE SHOWING IN THE PHOTO….

We are going to dive into this more in the future, but I needed to say that because it bugs the hell out of me. Homeowners don’t even know what they are looking at in the photo so what value are they getting from it if there is no story to go along with it…
